Nutrition & Water
Meatless Monday (or any day of the week)- pick one day of the week and try to go totally meatless that one day. This one change can have tremendous benefits on your health.
Substitute processed snacks for fruit/veggies – as we move to eating clean substitute your processed snacks like cookies, crackers and other goodies for fruits, veggies and nuts this week.
Keep a water bottle with you at all times (filled to the brim) – keep your water bottle full and with you at all times. If its with you then it is a constant reminder to drink more water.
Write down everything you eat this week – I often do this with my budget to see where I am spending my money. In an effort to understand better what you are eating write down everything you eat this week. Even if its just a nibble here and there. Little things add up so keeping a small notebook or even tracking your food in your phone will be helpful. Review what you have been eating at the end of the week to help you in finding the things that may be holding you back.
Workout & Activity
Rise and Shine Workout (every morning)- you should already be familiar with the rise and shine but this week we are upping it a bit. Make sure that you are knocking this one out as soon as you wake up in the morning.
- 50 Jumping Jacks
- 15 Squats
- 15 Lunges (each side)
- 25 second plank
Sleep & Daily Affirmation
Wake up 30 mins early ( read, mediate, exercise)- many people tout the benefits to waking early and spending the time reading, meditating, exercising or even just reading the paper. Wake up early and get a jump on the day.
